Irene Kuroski Obituary

Irene Kuroski, 85, of New York Mills, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at the Pines at Utica. She was born on April 18, 1940, in Utica, the daughter of Michael and Frances (Fus) Kuroski. Irene was a graduate of Utica Free Academy and was employed as a purchasing agent with Mohawk Ltd in Chadwicks. She was a member of St. Joseph St. Patrick Catholic Church. Irene is survived by her niece, Patricia Austin, and nephew, Michael Kuroski. She also leaves great nephews, John Czebieniak, Daniel, Joshua and Zachary Austin, Steven and Sam Bottini and their families along with her dear friend, Bertha Nogas. Irene was predeceased by her parents; sisters, Julia O'Gara and Natalie Czebieniak; brothers, Walter O'Gara, Steven, Alex and James Kuroski; nephew, Paul Czebieniak; nieces, Kathleen Bottini and Nancy Czebieniak, and sister-in-law, Sophie Kuroski. Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Friday, August 29th at 9:30 a.m. at Historic Old St. John's Church. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Yorkville. The Kuroski family would like to thank the 3rd floor staff of the Pines At Utica for the exceptional care given to Irene during her stay there.
