Jane L. Schubbe

Jane Louise Garlick Schubbe, 96, of Dolgeville, NY passed away on February 7, 2025 in Brookdale Senior Living Facility in Woodbridge, Virginia after suffering with Alzheimer's disease. She was born in Little Falls, New York on September 19, 1928 to Kenneth and Allie Garlick. She graduated from Dolgeville Central School. She graduated from SUNY at Potsdam's Crane School of Music in 1950. She taught vocal music in Rochester, NY and Little Falls until she was forced into retirement with chronic back issues. She was married to Donald Schubbe in 1950 and enjoyed many happy years of marriage until his passing in 2003. She enjoyed baking, genealogy, sewing, knitting, crocheting and many other crafts. She was a member of the Dolgeville United Methodist Church and the Dolgeville Historical Society. She leaves behind her daughter, June (Andy) Marino of Woodbridge, VA. Her grandchildren Cheryl (Eric) Clopper, Falls Church, VA,, Kenneth Marino, Ocracoke, NC and Patricia (Steve) Price of Canton, GA. She also has 4 great-grandchildren, Ryan, Lauren and Julia Clopper and Annaleigh Price. She also leaves behind her niece, Alice Garlick of Queensbury, NY. She was preceded in death by her brothers Ward and Gordon Garlick. A Memorial Mass will be offered in Virginia at the convenience of the family. A Graveside Service will be held in the spring at Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills, NY. The family wishes to thank Brookdale Senior Living Facility in Lake Ridge, Virginia and Heartland Hospice for the wonderful care they provided to Jane.
