IN LOVING MEMORY John C. Champlin November 24, 1934 – August 25, 2025 FLORENCE, NY – John C. Champlin, 90, of Florence, NY; passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 24, 1934 in Vienna, NY; son of the late Mildred Roth Booth and step-father, Earl Booth. John attended Camden Central Schools before enlisting to serve his country in the United States Army from 1957-1959. He was stationed at Fort Benning, GA before being deployed to Germany. On March 18, 1961, he married the love of his life, Alfreda (Jean) Fuller. He would go on to work for the Rochester Shoe Tree and Harden's Furniture until his retirement. John loved horseshoes, bowling, golfing, camping and traveling. He was predeceased by his mother, Mildred; step-father, Earl; sister, Clara Hall and a brother, Bill Champlin. John is survived by, his wife, Alfreda (Jean) Fuller Champlin; his son, Michael (Kelley); daughter, Rhonda (Chuck); his brother, Jim (Mary Lou) Champlin; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service Information will be as follows: Funeral Services will be celebrated at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, from LaRobardiere Funeral Home, 109 Main Street, Camden, NY. Graveside Services with Full Military Honors will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Camden, NY. Calling Hours will be from 10 – 12 p.m. at LaRobardiere Funeral Home, 109 Main Street, Camden, NY, prior to the service.
