June E. Gushue

Mrs. June E. Gushue,78, of Little Falls, NY, unexpectedly passed away at Bassett Healthcare of Cooperstown on March 4, 2025. She was born on March 11, 1946, in Little Falls, NY the daughter of George M. Warmuth and Ruth Lehman Warmuth. Most recently, she worked as a truck driver for Wal-Mart distribution out of Marcy, NY. Before that, she was a bus driver for the Little Falls/Fonda Bus Corp. from the late 1970s to the 1990s. She also worked at the local phone company as a switchboard operator, MDS in Herkimer, and Snyder's bike factory. She had served in the US Navy for a short time. June loved being with her family, and her cat who kept her company when her family was not there. She also enjoyed baking and had a love of Mustangs. When she was younger she had been an avid fisherman and bred and showed cocker spaniels. And everyone who knew her will remember her as a huge Uconn Ladies Basketball team. In 1991 she married Jerry Van Boetzelaer, who predeceased her in June 2003. She was also predeceased by her brother George D. Warmuth in 2019. Survivors include her son; Christopher Gushue of Dolgeville, NY; daughter Lynn and her husband Thomas Young of Sauquoit, NY, grandchildren Joshua Gushue, Christopher Gushue, and Kody Young.
