Linda Koperda Obituary

Linda A Koperda, 74, of Whitesboro NY passed away April 18, 2024, after weathering medical storms. Linda was a registered nurse spending most of her career at St Luke's. Other than caring for people, Linda's love for animals was at the forefront of her life. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Alice Koperda, and her brother-in-law Frank VanHatten. She leaves behind her sister, Yvonne VanHatten (Alabama), her brother Ed Koperda, two nieces Alison and Niky VanHatten (Alabama), and one great niece Mikayla VanHatten (Alabama). The family would like to extend their utmost gratitude for all of the people who cared for Linda and her beloved animals during this time in her life : Victoria,Travis and John, Ricky and Annette, Rhonda, Donna, Anna, the staff at Herkimer, the staff at Foltsbrook, her dialysis care staff, the Yorkville Police Department and fire department, Rover Do Over, and a very special thank you to Dr Amy Gorczynski. Linda played the hand she was dealt with immense fortitude and dignity. Services will be held Friday May 3 at 4:30 pm with visitation an hour beforehand starting at 3;30 pm At Dimbleby Funeral Homes, Inc, 40 Main St., Whitesboro. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Rover's Do Over, Frankfort, NY. (roversdoover.com)
