Linda Valentine Obituary

Oneonta Linda G. Valentine, 73, of Oneonta passed away Monday March 10, 2025, at Bassett Medical Center. Linda was born on May 30, 1951, in Oneonta and was the daughter to Milton and Lela (Carvin) Georgia. Linda was a devoted secretary at Suny Oneonta for 37 years. She was a member of the American Legion Aux in Laurens. Linda loved her family dearly and enjoyed camping, reading and crafting, taking many classes to improve her talent. She was always happy and caring, a true sweetheart. What Linda loved most of all was bickering with her husband, Lee. Linda is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Lee; son, Dennis (Connie) Valentine; daughter, Amy Davis; 5 grandchildren, Jonathan Shaw, Christian Valentine, Jason Valentine, Ashleigh Davis and Brandon Davis. She is predeceased by her son, Jeff Valentine; parents, Milton and Lela (Carvin) Georgia; brothers, Brad, Gary and Keith Georgia. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Morris VFW, 314 Ellis Rd Laurens, NY 13976. Donations in memory of Linda can be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284.
