Marilyn D. Roat

In Loving Memory Marilyn D. Roat July 13, 1931 - February 23, 2025 CAMDEN, NY- Marilyn Doris Roat, 93 of Camden, New York, went home to be with the Lord on February 23, 2025, a week after the passing of her beloved husband John with whom she shared 74 blessed years of marriage. Marilyn was born the daughter of Linneaus Barton and Bertha (Allen) Barton July 13, 1931, in Vestal, New York. Marilyn was a graduate of Vestal High School. Marilyn married her high school sweetheart John Roat on November 23, 1950. Together John and Marilyn owned and operated a Dairy Farm and raised six cherished children. John and Marilyn were members of the Nanticoke Baptist Church where Marilyn served many years as church pianist. In 2005, John and Marilyn moved to Camden to be closer to their family. Marilyn's two loves, besides her Lord and her husband John, were her family and music. Marilyn especially loved having her children and grandchildren come to visit to share a meal, talk, and play cards and games. Marilyn is predeceased by her parents; and her two sisters, Marjorie (Kenneth) Dewey and Genevieve (Joseph) Mason. She is survived by her six children, Ronald Roat, Donna (Richard) Shrauger, Becky (Steve) Little, Linda (Mark) Riley, Nancy (Kevin) Witzigman and James (Karen) Roat, along with 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Spring burial will take place in Hillside Cemetery in Camden, NY. Arrangements are in care of LaRobardiere Funeral Home, 109 Main Street, Camden, NY.
