Patricia E. Dwyer

1936 - 2024

Patricia Elizabeth Dwyer, 88, went to be with her loved ones in Heaven on Thursday, November 21, 2024 with her family by her side. Born on February 7, 1936 in Utica, Patricia was the daughter of Julian and Josephine Makarewicz. In 1961, she married Charles W. Dwyer, Jr., a blessed union of over 60 years prior to his passing on March 14, 2023. Pat was proud of her Polish heritage, loved Polish food and fond of her highball now and again. She was easy to love, had a kind heart and gentle hand. Pat loved all kinds of sports with the New York Yankees being her favorite. Antiquing and garage sales were a favored past time with music boxes being among her preferred items to collect. Time spent with her friends playing Quick Draw at the Auburn gave her much enjoyment. Surviving are her three daughters, Nancy Dwyer (Allan Scott), Glenville, NY, Donna (Steven) Scharf, Sauquoit, Tracey Dwyer (Jon Grimaldi, father of Jonmichael), Deerfield; three grandchildren, Kelli (Michael) Excell, Connor Talerico and Jonmichael Grimaldi; two great-grandchildren, Beckham and Maverick and many nieces and nephews. Pat was predeceased by her six siblings. Relatives and friend are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Tuesday, November 26th at 1 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. The family will receive guests following the Mass. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Clinton. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Pat's name may be made to Anita's Stevens-Swan Humane Society (www.anitas-sshhs.org). Envelopes will be available at the Mass.
