Patrick Axel Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Patrick Aaron Axel on September 13th, 2025. At just 31, Patrick is remembered for his contagious laugh and humorous outlook on life which made an impression on everyone he met. He was passionate about trivia nights with his loving wife Janet, practicing Jiu Jitsu at Lycan's Den MMA, and caring for his kitties Scrappy, Wang Miao, and Luigi. Born in Vestal, NY, July 8, 1994, Patrick graduated from Victor High School in 2012 and Rochester Institute of Technology in 2017 with a BS in Electrical Engineering. His joy was infectious and his loyalty to those he loved was unwavering. He is survived by his wife Janet Sorrells, his mother Peggy Axel, father Jon Axel and his wife Melissa Axel. Brothers Andrew Axel, Colin Axel and sister-in-law Gina Axel and niece Norah. Maternal Grandmother Beverly Casadonte, mother-in-law Judiann Petronis, father-in-law David Sorrells, many Aunts, Uncles, cousins and a large circle of friends that were like family. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
