Peter was a gifted speaker and effective advocate. He engaged in passionate debates in a persuasive and civil manner. He worked tirelessly promoting the rational for drug legalization. He was always in a cheerful mood.

Pete, you were my best friend for more than 30 yrs. There is no issue we didnt argue about. He made me a better man. I havent been able to breathe in his absence. I saw him nearly 2x a week for years and years. Our backgammon, soda, cigarette battles were legendary. I so miss you. Where ever you may be, when it is my turn, I will find you. Meanwhile, keep changing the world. You were a remarkable man who had no sense of humor. MIss you, my brother.

I was able to meet Peter at his home, years ago. I left feeling the uplifting impact of his personality, intelligence, and compassion to make the world a better place. Sending my condolences.

Long ago, Peter was a ray of hope in what's been labeled the most corrupt police department in Western New York. Unfortunately his wingman status with the Chief dissolved and he was relegated to a tiny desk beside the depts Xerox machine.
