Town of Lee – Richard I. Howard, 64, passed away following a brief illness on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at Rome Memorial Hospital.
Affectionately known as Rick, he was born on October 31, 1960, a son of George and Doris Pfendler Howard. He grew up in West Branch and received his education at Adirondack Central School. Following his education he began his over forty year employment with Camden Wire Co., Camden, NY.
Rick also enjoyed working on carpentry projects, fixing automobiles, and enjoyed the time he spent with friends golfing, playing cards, and visiting Brantingham Lake.
He is survived by his brothers: Steve, Boonville, Doug, West Branch, tow nieces: Sarah Lee and Stacey Platt, several great nieces and great nephews, and many good friends. He was predeceased by his father George in 1983, his mother Doris in 2016, and his brother Jim in 2020.
There will be no funeral service. Interment in Boonville Cemetery will be held at a later date. Arrangements are in care of the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, where online messages of sympathy may be made at www.trainorfuneralhome.com.
