Robert E. Badgley

Robert E. Badgley, 68, of E. Hill Rd., Munnsville, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at Oneida Health Extended Care Facility, where he had been a resident since October 2024. He was born on March 15, 1957, in Canastota, the son of Henry C. and Marion Luella (Avery) Badgley Jr. He was a 1975 graduate of Canastota High School. Robert enjoyed country music and visiting parks. He loved going to the racetrack at Vernon Downs. Surviving are his companion, Melissa Ann Seifert; his children, Henry Badgley, of Oneida, Angela Badgley, of Oneida, Melissa Badgley, of Oneida, Christie Lee Hudson, of FL, and Jeremy (Jennie) Badgley, of Rome; his stepchildren, Brianna Smith, Devin Smith, Jasmin Smith, Chelsey Smith, and Jacob Seifert; his brothers, Charles Badgley, of Oneida, Warren (Denise) Badgley, of Sherrill, Henry (Susan) Badgley, of Vernon, and Carl (Wendy) Badgley Sr., of Syracuse; two sisters, Juanita (Jay) Chesebro, of Oneida, and Hazel (William) Yeman, of Albany; and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Robert was predeceased by two sisters, Lela M. Jones, on February 2, 2015, and Carol Smith, on November 20, 2006. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 12:00 PM (noon) at the Ironside Funeral Home, Inc. Family and friends are invited and may call prior to the service on Saturday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the funeral home, 342 Main St., Oneida.
