Rosetta "Rosie Ballard" Jones

Rosetta B. Jones, age 89, of Schuyler, NY, passed away on September 27, 2025. Rosetta was born in Lisbon, NY on April 13, 1936, the daughter of John and Grace (Mabey) Ballard. She received her education in Morris and Mount Vision School systems. On August 12, 1989, she was united in marriage with Harold William Jones, a devoted union until Harold's passing on June 6, 2006. Rosie was a beautician and home health aide for many years. She was a longtime member of West Schuyler United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. Mrs. Jones is survived by her brother, Elisher J. and Linda B. Ballard of Queensbury, NY; sisters, Flora Ballard of Stamford, NY, Mary Josephine Barton of Sabastian, FL and Minnie Hungerford of Palm Bay, FL; her brother George's companion, who was like a sister to Rosie, Pat Rubin of VA, as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and special friends. Besides her parents John and Grace and beloved husband, Harold, she was predeceased by her brother, George Ballard. Visitation for family and friends is Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at West Schuyler United Methodist Church, 297 Wood Lane, Utica, NY 13502 followed by a funeral service at the conclusion of visitation. She will be laid to rest in West Schuyler Cemetery.
