Stephen L. Reynolds

Stephen L. Reynolds, age 60 of Remsen, and formerly of Utica, passed away on February 22, 2024, after a brief illness. He was born on June 18, 1963 in Utica, NY a son of Lloyd and Madelyne (VanWormer) Reynolds. Stephen was employed by Utica University, starting in 1988 as a cook. During that time he worked his way up to culinary lead. Stephen loved his job and his work family. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing as well as raising his chickens, ducks, and his vegetable garden every year.. Stephen was an extremely giving person, no matter the circumstance or who you were, he was always willing to lend a hand. Surviving is his father, Lloyd Reynolds; siblings, Patricia Reynolds and Todd Moon, Rob Reynolds, Keith and Traci Reynolds, Todd and Sherry Reynolds, Tim Goldberg, Rebecca Carr, Dean Reynolds, Greg Lorenzen. as well as several nieces and nephews, with whom her shared a close relationship; several aunts and uncles; and a very special friend, Selma Parlatore. He was predeceased by his mother, Madeylyne; and a brother, Jerry. The family would like to thank the Nurses,, Dr's, and Respiratory staff of Unit 6-I at SUNY Upstate Medical University for their exceptional care and compassion during this time. Friends are invited to call on the family on Saturday, March 2, from 2 – 4 PM at Dimbleby Funeral Homes, Inc. A service for Stephen will be held immediately following. In lieu of flowers consider a donation to either the local humane society, or an animal rescue of your choosing.
