Timothy E. Spoor

Laurens Timothy E. Spoor, 70, of Laurens passed away at his home on Friday, July 25, 2025. He was born on October 24, 1954 in Laurens, the son of Elmer and Betty (Jacobsen) Spoor. Tim was a proud Marine, he made the rank of sergeant after 3 years. Afterwards he opened a small grocery store followed by a nightclub called Jake's ll Saloon and worked with people with intellectual disabilities until he retired. Tim was known for his love for people and animals. He was great at helping others, catering or decorating weddings, or just adding his own touch to special events and Holidays. His favorite pastimes include visiting the beach and gambling at the Turning Stone. He also enjoyed working in the flower garden and landscaping, he will be remembered for being a cheerful, generous, loving person. He is survived by his brothers, Terry (Deb Muntz) Spoor and Tracy (Pam) Spoor; sister-in-law Cathy Spoor; nephew, TJ (Tammy Barrington) Spoor; nieces, Leandra (Nate) Lorber and Lacey Spoor; close cousins Brian (Candy) Spoor and Donna (Tom) martin; as well as several great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Tom Spoor. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
