Walter M. Semeniak

Walter Semeniak, 78 of Norwich, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025, at Wynn Hospital, Utica. He was born in Aschaffenburg, Germany on June 27, 1947, a son of Teodor and Anna (Nelnik) Semeniak. He came to the United Sates where he graduated from Notre Dame High School, Utica and Notre Dame College. He served in the US Navy from 1971 to 1973, as Petty Officer 3rd Class. On April 28, 2023, at St. Malachy's Church, Sherburne he married Julie Csukardi. Walt was formerly a Securities Broker and owner of Semeniak Financial Services, Utica and currently an Agent for New York Life Insurance, Utica. He was a devoted Catholic and observed all Holy Days. He was former director of the Boy's Club of Utica from 1974 – 1981, chairman and organizer of the Galliano Club of Rome, BOCCE tournaments Surviving is his wife, Julie; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Diana Semeniak of Utica; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 11:00 am, at St. Paul's Cemetery, 6217 NY-12, Norwich, NY 13815. Contributions in his memory may be made to the St. Malachy's Food Pantry, 33 East State St., Sherburne, NY 13460.
