Craig Allen Bowers II

Craig Allen Bowers II, 41, of Lafayette, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. He was born on February 20, 1984 in Hillsdale, MI to Sheila Ewing-Friedline and raised with Jim Friedline. Craig graduated from Hillsdale High School with the class of 2002 and went on to earn his bachelors degree from Michigan State University then later his paralegal from Purdue University. He worked as a paralegal for Lafayette Legal Aide. Craig had previously worked for Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN, the Law Offices of Monica Doerr of West Lafayette, IN, Legal Aid Corporation of Tippecanoe County in Lafayette, IN, MaineHealth of Portland, ME, Americorp VISTA of Denver, CO and Portland, ME, Habitat for Humanity in Philadelphia, PA, University of Denver in Denver, CO, Disability Law in Denver, CO, and the Obama/Biden Campaign as a field director in East Lansing, MI. Craig earned his Eagle Scout in his younger years and as a adult he was a member of the Lafayette Democrat Socialist Group. He enjoyed drinking coffee, reading, yoga, swimming, and was politically active. Surviving are his parents, Sheila and Jim Friedline of Cutler, his siblings, Shaeli (Robert) Dininny of Crawfordsville, Kyle Bowers of Chicago, Esha Friedline of Lafayette, Ahlise Friedline of Cutler, and SeSe Friedline of Cutler. He is also survived by a nephew, Harry Dininny and special friends, Sue & Ben Fowle and Beth Garofalo Schneider, all of Hillsdale, MI. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, William & Janet Ewing and Don & Lois Friedline. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to PFLAG of Tippecanoe County, Greater Lafayette DSA, or the Epilepsy Foundation in loving memory of Craig.
