Gary Fisher Obituary

Gary Fisher, 67, of Lafayette, IN, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025. He was born on December 29, 1957 in Logansport, Indiana to the late Wayne, Sr. and Ima June (Shackel) Fisher. Gary graduated from Logansport High School in 1977. He served his country in the United States Navy. His marriage was to Carol Fisher. They later divorced and she preceded him in death. Gary worked as a land surveyor. After his retirement, he worked for Pay Less Supermarkets. He enjoyed reading, putting puzzles together, going to dinner with his daughter, and spending time with his cat, Nellie. Gary was also a huge history buff. Surviving are his children, Gaby Fisher of Lafayette and Dylan Sheetz of Lafayette; his life partner, Judi Snedeker of Lafayette; and his siblings, Kimberly (David) Filson of Greenfield, IN, Wayne Fisher, Jr. of Logansport, and William (Jim Lewis) Fisher of St. Johns Island, SC. A Service will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at 6 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Chapel, Lafayette with Dawn Fisher officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 4 to 6 p.m. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025 at 3 p.m. at Mount Hope Cemetery in Logansport.
