Martin Doan Miller

Martin Doan Miller June 19, 1929 - September 3, 2025 Martin has departed our physical world to the comfort and promise of Jesus Christ. He read his Bible daily, loved to fish, and was a great welder. Mart had the skill and knowledge to build a room, plumb and wire it, and then certainly enjoy resting in it afterward. Cowboy movies and Football were commonly on his television. All who knew Mart would say he was strong and he was stubborn, and recognize the duality of both traits. He deeply appreciated the companionship of close friends; Trent, Jimmy (big & little), and Amanda. He was born in Montgomery County, Ohio to Paul Verner and Susie Grace (Tague) Miller. Mart was a 1948 Graduate of Northridge High School in Dayton, Ohio. He served in the Army. In 1952, he married Mary Ann Sabatino, d.1987. They raised two children. In 1991, Mart married Charlene Marie (Schwartz) Ray, d. 2016. Martin is survived by grandchildren Luke (Evette), Jake (Brittanee) Carly, and their mother, Lori; step- children Keith (Cindy), Fanny (Will), Micky (Jeff) and Missy (Paul); and many great grandchildren, step-grandchildren, and step-great grandchildren. In addition to Mary Ann Miller and Char Miller, Martin was preceded in death by his son Curt M. Miller, daughter Christy Miller, daughter-in-law Connie E. Ray, and step-grandson Clayton D. Herr. Martin will be laid to rest at Gardens of Memory near Marion, Indiana. Visitation will be from 10am to 11am with service at 11am all at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
