Paul was a wonderful lifetime friend. We met at the University of Nebraska in the EE104 class in 1954 and spent many hours working together on homework assignments in the following years. He was the hardest-working and most dedicated among our fellow students. His professional contributions to electrical engineering and achievements are outstanding.

In recent years, we enjoyed continuing our friendship through frequent phone calls and reminiscing about our years at the University of Nebraska. He would always update me on his family - he was very proud of each of his children. I will miss Paul and his friendship.

Paul was a true inspiration and mentor to more young women and men than we could ever find the time to count. His technical contributions to the field of electrical engineering and the study of electrical machines have been immeasurable. I will always remember his tremendous skill on an analog computer. Simulation done without the convenience of modern digital computers is a lost art. Paul's influence in my life both personally and professionally can't be understated. Rest in peace my dear friend.
