Randy Schnepp

1951 - 2025

Randy D. Schnepp, age 73, passed away on May 2, 2025. He was born on Friday, June 15, 1951 at Home Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana of parents Charles W. & L. Mabel (Wooldridge) Schnepp. He was a lifelong resident of Tippecanoe County. Randy was the father of two sons, Tim & Kyle. He married Nancy M. LaMaster on July 29, 1972 at Buck Creek United Methodist Church. She passed away on October 2, 2023. He attended Colburn Elementary, Buck Creek School, and graduated from East Tipp High School the class of 1969, a time when the world was changing. Employment: During his high school days he worked at Standard Grocery and Kentucky Fried Chicken, both in West Lafayette. After graduation Randy worked at Duncan Electric for almost ten years. He also worked at Fairfield for a brief period. He was employed at Purdue University in 1980 as the Physics Lecture Demo Supervisor and worked there until retirement on January 17, 2017. Randy enjoyed gardening, traveling, and bicycling. He had belonged to Tippecanoe Master Gardeners. He collected old movies and enjoyed listening to music. He especially enjoyed traveling in California. He was a very hard worker his whole life. If he didn't know how to do something he figured it out and got the job done. Randy was proceeded in death by his father Charles (1994), mother Mable (2005), and brother Dennis (Judge). Surviving are his sisters: Barbara Cochran (husband Mark d. 2022), Beverly Sipple (husband Charlie) and brother Rick (wife Sherry d. 2000). Randy has 8 nephews and 2 nieces. Randy planted hundreds of trees in his lifetime. Memorials: Plant a long-lived native Hoosier tree in Randy's memory and let Randy's survivors know where you planted it.
