Robert L. Foster

1953 - 2025

Robert "Bob" L. Foster, Jr., age 71, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025. He was born in Lafayette on December 18, 1953, the son of Robert L. Foster, Sr. and Marjorie (Grider) Foster. A skilled mechanic for over 30 years, he took pride in his work and craftsmanship. He had a passion for woodworking, a love for NASCAR, and a soft spot for his dogs, Gator and Gizzy. He was an active member of a local dart league and proudly belonged to American Legion Post 492. An avid Amazon shopper, he never missed a good deal. He especially cherished bi-weekly lunch outings with his sister, Lois. Above all, he loved his two children, three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren dearly. Robert is survived by his sisters, Lois Foster and Marcia Foster; daughters, Stephanie (Robert) Cottrell and Michelle Castro; grandchildren, Bayli (Lexi) Cottrell, Kevyn Castro, and Ellen Cottrell; and great-grandchildren, Maleni Castro, and twins, Taylor and Jordan Cottrell; great-nieces, Natalia Campos and Meadow Campos; and dear friend, Bob Croussore and his granddaughter Ayami Croussore. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his niece, Courtnee Campos. A graveside service will be held at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, 1718 W. 350 N., West Lafayette, Indiana. Burial will follow.
