Carol Ann (Lenardo) Fentress, age 78, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully at home on July 5, 2025. Born January 31, 1947, in San Rafael, California, Carol was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Betty Lenardo. She graduated in 1965 from Fortuna High School, Fortuna, California, and went on to build a fulfilling life grounded in love, faith, kindness, and generosity.
Carol dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her family, faith, and friends. She was the devoted wife of Robert (Pete) Fentress for 47 years, married on March 4, 1978, and cherished her role as a mother, stepmother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She found immense joy in sewing, volunteering at her Church, following her grandchildren's sports, traveling with her husband, and spending time with dear friends and family.
A woman of deep faith, Carol was a dedicated member of the Bible Baptist Church of Wilmington, where she developed many lasting friendships. She worked for Cincinnati Milacron for more than 35 years and retired in 2007.
Carol is preceded in death by her brother Joe Lenardo and sister-n-law Linda Childers, and is survived by her loving husband, Robert (Pete) Fentress; daughter, Jodi (Tom) Vogel; and stepchildren, Todd (Marsha) Fentress, Nikki (Steve) Floyd, Chad (Kari) Fentress, and Shanin (Russ) Richardson. She was a proud grandmother to Zack, Gabby, and Makenna Fentress; Dalton (Sammie) Floyd, Cole, and Wyatt Floyd; Hunter (Amanda) Fentress and Makenzie (Bryant) McCarty; Marlee (Sam) Burnham, Luke, and Rylee Richardson. She is also survived by two adored great-grandchildren, Stevie and Stetson Floyd; sister Diane (Dean) Blake; sister-in-law Mary Haas; brothers-in-law Paul (Mary Ann) Fentress and Mike (Shonda) Pfister; and nieces and nephews Jackie (Mike) Goodman, Jeremy (Tasheica) Lenardo, Kelly (Bob) Williams, Erin Childers, Jeff Childers, Holly Childers, Gary (Tami) Lenardo, Colin (Kim) Blake, Jim (Lori) Fentress, Suzanne (Dom) Guzzardos, Mike Fentress, Scott Pfister, and Brian Pfister.
Carol's warmth, smile, faith, and loving spirit touched all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
Services will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Bible Baptist Church, 55 Megan Dr., Wilmington. Pastor Josh Dixon will officiate. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm, at the church. Burial will immediately follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Leesburg, Ohio. Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington, is assisting the family.
