Charles B. "Chuck" Stephens, 78, of Wilmington, Ohio passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at his residence. He was born September 2, 1946 in Clinton County, Ohio, son of the late Earl Stephens and Hazel Runyon Stephens. Chuck was a 1964 graduate of Wilmington High School. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.
Mr. Stephens retired as the maintenance manager of Cincinnati Metro. He was a member of the Wilmington Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Survivors include his children, Tara (Jeremy) Palmer of Jamestown, Ohio and Brian (Emily) Stephens of Wilmington, Ohio; brothers, Bob (Annette) Stephens of The Villages, Florida and Ron (Joni) Stephens of Spokane, Washington; grandchildren, Bayden Stephens, Tyler McCoy, Brad McCoy, and Ruth Palmer; and the mother of his children, Jane Stephens.
In addition to his parents, a brother, John Stephens, is preceded in death.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio. A funeral service with Rev. Stephen Palmer officiating will follow at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in New Antioch Cemetery with military honors provided by the American Legion Post 49 Honor Guard.
