Clarence Elmer Cook, 97½, of Wilmington, passed away Monday, November 20, 2017 at his home.
He was born the son of the late Clarence Joseph Cook and Gladys Muriel Frazee Cook on April 3, 1920 in Franklin. He was married to his wife, Margaret June Koneta Harden Cook, on July 8, 1941 in Middletown.
Clarence worked as a Carpenter for Chrysler Airtemp in Dayton for 34 years and was a member of Community of Christ, Beavercreek.
He is survived by two daughters, Cecelia (Ron) Dougan of Shelbyville, Tenn. and Catherine (Charles) Greenberg of Okeechobee, Florida; daughters-in-law, Patricia Cook of Greenfield and Susan Cook of Martinsville; son-in-law, Richard Workman of Spring Valley; sister-in-law, Naomi Jean Gerber of Middletown; 21 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; 24 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandchild, including both family and extended family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 64½ years, Koneta, on March 9, 2006; and their children, Michael Cook in 2012, Stephen Cook in 2016, and Sarah Workman in 2017; and grandson, Byron Workman in 2013.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 25 at Community of Christ, 860 Grange Hall Road, Beavercreek. Funeral services will begin immediately following at 2 p.m.
Graveside service is tentatively in April, 2018 (Clarence's birthday), at the Olive Branch Cemetery, Sinking Spring, Ohio.
