Clark Flint, 89, of Sabina, entered his heavenly mansion at 1:30 a.m. Oct. 17, 2016 in Macon, Georgia, and is now sitting at the feet of Jesus.
Clark was born June 8, 1927 in Sabina to John and Fannie George Flint. He is proceeded in death by his parents; eight brothers; five sisters; his first wife of 19 years, Ruth Crawford; his most recent wife of 20 years, Joyce Edenfield; step-daughter, Pam Griffith-Weisenberger; and a grandson, Michael Flint.
He is survived by five children, Daniel Flint (Ruthann) of Hillsboro, Peggy Latham (Steve) of Byron, Georgia, Cathy Bennington (Rick) of Warner Robins, Georgia, Mike Flint (Becky) of Sabina and Christy Flint of Wilmington; three step-children, Shelly Pitzer (Jack) of Leesburg, Keith Thackston (Jenny) of Leesburg, and Jason Thackston (Nikki) of Martinsville; 31 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Clark started farming as a young man until the age of 65. Farming was his life and passion from livestock to grain; we would always know where to find him, out on the family farm. After his retirement from farming, he worked at Technicolor in Wilmington for 13 years until the age of 78, where he was known for outworking co-workers half his age.
After his retirement, Clark enjoyed gardening, anything to do with John Deere, tractor pulls, the county fair and spending time with friends and family. He was an amazing father and friend with such a warm and gentle soul, willing to lend a hand to anyone.
Service will be Saturday, Oct. 22 at 11 a.m. at Wilmington Church of God, 100 R Gordon Drive, Wilmington.

Dear Flint Family - Just a note to let you know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and will especially be so tomorrow as you celebrate the life and legacy of Clark. I so wanted to come and share in the memorial service but have a family commitment here in Springfield on Saturday. Please know that I will be with you in thought. I will always be grateful to the Lord for allowing my life path to cross with Joyce as we worked together at Clinton Memorial Hospital - she was a great friend - and through her I had the privilege of meeting Clark and I always enjoyed talking with him and visiting in their home. He was such a kind and caring man and he and Joyce were meant for each other and oh how they loved their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. You all have a special heritage. May God provide strength and comfort now and in the days to come.

My condolences to the Flint family. I will always remember the great times spent on the farm when I was growing up. I was always treated like one of the family. Great memories. Great man. God bless his soul.
