Marilyn Wical Sprague, 90, a lifetime resident of Wilmington, Ohio, passed into the Light of her Lord and Savior Wednesday, February 2, 2022, with loving husband Roger by her side.
She was born February 17, 1931 in Wilmington to the late Frank V. and Clara Morris Wical.
Marilyn grew up, youngest of four children in the family home within one block of Smith Place Elementary School. She was a 1949 graduate of Wilmington High School and member of the Wilmington High School Marching Band, Choir, Orchestra, and Honor Society.
After high school she worked for the Wilmington News Journal prior to marrying her high school sweetheart, Roger, a 1947 graduate. They were happily married, sharing life's journeys for more than 72 years at the time of her passing.
She was a member of the Wilmington Friends Meeting, Dover Friends Meeting, and most recently Faith Baptist Church.
She is survived by husband, Roger, and four children, David (Catherine) Sprague of Boulder, Colorado, Mark of Jamestown, Ohio, Matthew of Jeffersonville, Indiana, and Christopher of Wilmington, Ohio; 12 grandchildren, and great grandchildren; and three nieces, Janet (Roger) Achor of Martinsville, Ohio, Frances (Bill) Pastor of Kirkland, Ohio, and Dr. Rebecca Terrell (Dr. Craig) Strafford of New Vienna, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank V. and Clara Wical; brothers, Noel and Robert Wical; and sister, Elizabeth (Paul) Terrell.
Visitation and services will be conducted at Faith Baptist Church, 1791 N. U.S. Hwy. 68, Wilmington, Ohio. Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. to noon Monday, February 14, 2022, with services and interment at Sugar Grove Cemetery to immediately follow.
All are invited to then return to Faith Baptist Church and join in a celebration of Marilyn's life.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Faith Baptist Church.
