Ruth Ann (Winters) Walton, 76, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away peacefully Sunday, August 15, 2021.
She was born July 2, 1945 in Wilmington, Ohio, to Louie and Mary (Page) Winters. Ruth graduated from Martinsville High School and attended Wilmington College.
She worked at NCR in Dayton, Ohio, where she met her husband, Michael Walton. They were married October 15, 1966, and later moved to the Kansas City area, where she lived out her life.
Ruth was a U.S. Mail carrier in Independence and Blue Springs for 20 years. She was involved in genealogy research, the Girl Scouts, Job's Daughters, Eastern Star, Daughters of the American Revolution, Blue Springs Historical Society, a member of the Oakland Methodist Church in Buckner, and an avid collector of seashells, rocks, coins, and lighthouses.
She is survived by her husband, Michael brother, William (Mary) Winters of Schnellville, Ind.; sister-in-law, Susan Irick of Foley, Ala.; daughters, Mary (Judson) Hammontree of Blue Springs, Mo. and Nancy (Jay) Smith of Olathe, Kan.; and three grandchildren, Evan, Kathryn, and Chloe Hammontree of Blue Springs; plus extended family in Ohio, Indiana, and Tennessee.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; in-laws, Earl and Mary Walton; and brother-in-law, George Irick.
The family will receive friends and family from 1-2 p.m. Friday, August 20, 2021 at Royer Funeral Home in Grain Valley, Missouri. Funeral service will immediately follow. Interment will be at Blue Springs Cemetery.

I´m sorry to hear, Ruthie has passed away. Even though, I hadn´t seen Ruthie for many years, I watched her, and brother Bill grow up, mainly on the farm in Midland. We all had good times on the "farm"
