Willodene M Brandenburg, 94, of Midland, Ohio, passed Oct. 5, 2025, peacefully at home surrounded by loving family.
She was born in Smithville, TN. Her family moved to Blanchester in 1942, and she graduated from Blanchester High School, Class of 1948. Willodene retired as plant manager from CCPI in Blanchester.
Willodene, lovingly known as "Nana" loved to play cards and board games (her grandchildren always considered it a challenge to beat Nana, as she did not take it easy on them. She enjoyed building puzzles, fishing, and traveling with her late husband, Jim. She also really loved her animals. She was a member of Lynchburg First Church of Christ.
She is survived by children; Judy A (Floyd "Mac") McCray, Jarrett D Brandenburg, Jeffrey S (Ellen) Brandenburg, and John C (Jessie) Brandenburg. Grandchildren; Brian K Murray, Joseph R Murray, Jarrett D Brandeburg, Emily E Brandenburg, Jessica Mae (Brad) Tucker, Chad M (Kristina) Brandenburg, Jacob D (Angel) Brandenburg. Great grandchildren; Michael J Bennett, Ty D Tucker, Taitum R Tucker, Teigen G Brandenburg, Tobias B Tucker, Tru E Tucker.
She was preceded in death by husband, James D Brandenburg; son, James Lee Brandenburg; Nephew, Raymond Schalk; Aunt, Lula Mae Wells; and Aunt, Helen Schalk.
Services will be on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home in Blanchester, Ohio. Visitation will be from 4:30-6:30 with services following, officiated by (grandchildren) Charles Bradley Tucker and wife, Jessica Mae Tucker.
Burial will be Friday, October 10, 2025, at Stone Coal Cemetery in Beattyville, Ky. at 1pm.

The family wants to thank everyone who so lovingly took the time to help keep Nana's spirits high, whether through a phone call, a card, a visit just to say hi, or a prayer. Every thoughtful gesture made such a difference in her day and brought a smile upon her face. She was so loved!

We're so sorry to hear of Willie's passing. We realize it's hard to let go of a loved one but if we know Jesus, we can all meet again in Heaven with Him one day soon. Love to you all.
