Beverly Kennedy Tudor

1934 - 2021

Beverly Kennedy Tudor, 86, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2021. Beverly was born in Dallas, Texas on July 9, 1934, to the late Margie Lucille Sparks and George Kennedy. She grew up in Beaumont, Texas, attended Beaumont High School, graduated from Vidor High School, and attended the University of Mary Hardin Baylor. In 1953, she married Ted Graham Tudor, also of Beaumont. Above all, Beverly prided herself on being a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Port Neches until moving to the Austin area in 2009. She was also a member of the Beta Sigma Phi social sorority. Beverly was a creative genius. She was a renowned cook, nationally famous for her award-winning baking; an artist who excelled at drawing and painting; and a writer, weaving extraordinary visions in both poetry and prose. In her spare time, she enjoyed a sharp game of bridge, reading mystery novels, dancing (ballroom, Latin and swing), and the thrill of entering contests (which she often won).

She is survived by her children Geoffrey Tudor and husband Charles St. Ama; Scott Tudor; Laurie Tudor Holeman and husband Kevin; and Ted Tudor, Jr. and wife Lori; grandchildren Kirsten Tudor Wollschlager and husband Dana; Patrick Tudor; Summer Holeman Walcker and husband Adam; Christian Holeman; Rachael Bell and Ryan Bell; great-grandson Jack Wollschlager; two nieces and one nephew; and great nieces and nephews. Beverly is preceded in death by her parents; husband Ted Tudor; sister Betty Kennedy Brundrett and brother-in-law Bo Brundrett; niece Cindy Brundrett Hunt; daughter-in-law Marsha Spetter Tudor; and her beloved dog Spoofer. Beverly will be interred at a time to be announced at the Texas Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your local animal shelter or organization of your choice.
