Adelard Paquette Obituary
Sonny worked 30 years for the C.O. Hoffacker Co., in Cranston, retiring in December, 1989. He was a WWII US Navy Veteran, and was a 60 year member, past commander and Chaplin of the Berard-Desjarlais VFW Post #88 in Nasonville. He was a resident of Mohegan most of his life, moving to Pascoag in 2000.
He is survived by his daughter, Paula Presbrey and her husband Jeffrey of Oakland, two grandchildren, Chris Presbrey of Oakland, and Alyssa Presbrey of Glocester and one great granddaughter, Zoey Presbrey.
His funeral will be Thursday at 9am from the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Rd., North Smithfield, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Theresa's Church, Dion Drive, Nasonville. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 5-8pm. www.brownfuneralhomes.com

Hello, My name is Cassidi Moylan and I am from Coventry High School. Recently, I was assigned to do a project for my social studies class on a War Veteran from RI and I happened to pick Mr. Paquette. I enjoyed learning about his story and even though he is not here with us today physically, I would still like to thank him for his service through this message. I would also like to thank Alyssa Presbrey for interviewing Mr. Paquette and publishing it so that it was possible that I do this project. My condolences go out to your family over this loss. He always made me laugh. He was our neighbor and family friend and he and my dad would share a beer on stone wall after mowing the lawn. He will be missed dearly.

Paula sorry to hear of your father's passing. He was a great guy - always had a smile and good word for everyone. He was a mentor to me in working with the veterans in Burrillville. He will be greatly missed.
