Albert W. Blais

NORTH SMITHFIELD - Albert W. Blais, 99, of North Smithfield, died September 7, 2016, at Bayberry Commons, Burrillville. He was the husband of the late Helena (Hebert) Blais. Born In Woonsocket, he was the son of the late William and Parmelia (Milotte) Blais.
Albert worked at Holy Family Church and school as a custodian for many years. He was also the president of the Troubadours, Woonsocket.
He is survived by two daughters, Jeannette Dansereau and her husband Roger of Dover, TN; and Suzanne Benjamin of Windermere, FL; one son, William Blais and his wife Helen of Woonsocket; two brothers, Eddie Blais of North Smithfield; and Norman Blais of Johnston; and daughter in law, Cecile Blais of Woonsocket; eight grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. He was the father of the late Robert Blais and brother of the late Gerard and Ovila Blais and Jeannette Levesque.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 12, 2016, at 10 AM in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, 1409 Park Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, 314 Wrentham Rd., Bellingham, MA. Calling hours will be held Sunday, from 3 - 5 PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bayberry Commons - Activity Fund, 181 Davis Dr, Pascoag, RI 02859.
