Alberto Erfe Obituary
Born in the Philippines, a son of the late Vicente and Nena (Viray) Erfe, he had lived in Lincoln for the past 43 years.
Dr. Erfe was a physician specializing in internal medicine and cardiology for over 40 years. He was a graduate of University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine & Surgery in the Philippines. After arriving in Rhode Island, he was trained at Miriam and Rhode Island Hospitals. He was on the staff of Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket and the former Fogarty Memorial Hospital, North Smithfield.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving son, Vincent Erfe and his wife, Kirstin of Washington, D.C.; his sister, Liza Erfe of the Philippines; his beloved grandchildren, Jack and Madeleine; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late George Erfe and Enrico Erfe.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10 A.M. in St. Jude's Church, 301 Front Street, Lincoln. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln Thursday 4-7 P.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dr. Erfe's memory to LaSalette Shrine, 947 Park Street, Attleboro, MA 02703 would be appreciated. For Directions and Guest Book, please visit

Dr. Erfe, you were a great doctor. Thank you for taking care of me but most of all for listening to my problems. You were very holistic in your approach. Few physicians can say that in 2017. I have not seen you for many years. Since our last encounter I have received a PHD in psychology and will be taking my final vows as a Carmelite Sister on December 8th. I will keep you and your family in prayer. I appreciated the depth of your faith. You believed in God's ineffable mercy and love. May Our Blessed Mother safely cradle you in her arms as you gaze at the face of Christ. You are not lost but only a prayer away. May your family find comfort in the knowledge that you are safe and very happy in your eternal home. We are born for Heaven and you have arrived. Yes, you are only a prayer away. Pray for me.
