Alice Bennett Obituary
Alice was a graduate of Johnson & Wales Business School. She was a retiree of Federal Civil Service and started her career at the U.S. Army Nuke Site, Rehoboth, MA, until the site was phased out. Alice was a member of Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church, Providence, and served there as a volunteer with ARS Social Services from 1982 to 1995. She was also a Hospice volunteer for many years with the Visiting Nurses, Pawtucket. Alice was a member of the National Association for Retired Federal Employees, NARFE Chapter 13, and served as an officer for 18 years, first as vice-president and later as president.
Alice leaves many nieces and nephews including, Marc Malkasian, David Malkasian, Gregory Wahl, Christine Wahl and Suzanne Chattelle. She was the sister of the late Albert Malkasian, Peter Malkasian and Rose Wahl.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Services on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church, 402 Broadway, Providence. Visitation and flowers are respectfully omitted. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Pawtucket. Memorial gifts to Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church will be appreciated. Arrangements are entrusted to William W. Tripp Funeral Home, Pawtucket.
