Alice Blanchette Obituary
Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late James and Alice Hobson. She resided in Woonsocket for the past 5 years.
She was employed as a chef at the former Little Inn Restaurant of North Providence for 10 years. She was previously an original co-owner of Casa Leone Restaurant of North Providence.
She leaves her son Daniel Leone of Warwick; her brothers William Hobson of Florida, George Hobson of Narragansett and Edward Hobson of Georgia, her sisters Muriel Quinn of Massachusetts and Margaret Corbett of Conneticuit; her three grandchildren, six great-granchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Richard Hobson, James Hobson, Martha Kiley, Pauline Hobson, Richard Hobson, and Daniel Hobson.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, May 16. 2015 with visiting hours from 2-4 PM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. A prayer service will be held at 3 PM. Burial will be private. Directions/Guestbook: jjduffyfuneralhome.com

Auntie Alice has always been and inspiration to me. Besides her generosity, and talents for cooking and storytelling, she had an amazing ability to face life's challenges gracefully and courageously, with a smile and maybe a wisecrack or two. She will be sorely missed by her family and others whose lives she touched. I will remember her always with deep love and affection. Rest peacefully, Auntie Alice, you've earned it.
