Alice T. Cornell

1924 - 2017

MENDON, MA - Alice T. (Brady) Cornell, 93, of Mendon, died Thurs., Oct. 12, 2017 in Milford Regional Medical Center. She was the widow of George B. Cornell, who died in 1994.
Mrs. Cornell was born in Woonsocket, RI, the daughter of the late Hugh and Leona (Daignault) Brady. She was a graduate of St. Claire's High School in Woonsocket and was an avid reader and card player who loved the Patriots and spending time with family and friends. A communicant of St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish in Upton, she was active in her earlier years at St. Michael's Parish in Mendon.
She leaves four children, Carol Rockwood and her husband William "Mike" Jr. of Mendon, George Cornell and his husband Sam Terminesi of New London, CT, Alice Grillo and her husband Thomas of Southport, NC, and John Cornell and his wife Tara of Uxbridge; a daughter-in-law Lucille Cornell of Mendon; six grandchildren Jeffrey Cornell and his wife Kristen of North Smithfield, RI, Michelle Reilly and her husband Eric of Dudley, Jared Grillo and Justin Grillo and his wife Heather, all of St. Peters, MO, and Joshua and Jordan Cornell of Boston; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by another son, Leonard Cornell, and her brother, Stephen Brady.
Funeral services will be held Wed., Oct. 18, from the Williams-Pedersen Funeral Home, 45 Main St., Upton (www.uptonfunerals.com), with a funeral mass at 10 a.m. in St. Gabriel the Archangel Church, 151 Mendon St., Upton. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
