Alice Fernandes

PAWTUCKET - Fernandes, Alice, formally of Wakefield, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018 at Hope Hospice & Palliative Care RI. She was the wife of the late Joseph Fernandes. Born in Pawtucket, daughter of the late Joaquim and Virigina (Costa) Lopes. Alice was the loving mother of Elizabeth Maresca, (Robert), Joan Raulston, (Michael), Margaret Thibaudau, and Susan DiPrete, (Dennis); grandmother of Nadine Pugliese, Andrea Maresca, Meegan Stephenson, Nicholas Maresca, Denalee McDonald, Katherine DiPrete, Chad Raulston, Paige DiPrete; seven great grandsons. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. Alice was the sister of the late Joseph Lopes, Avelino Lopes, Lucinda Almeida, and Zulmira Goyette. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Portuguese Social Club, an avid baker and enjoyed ceramics.
A visitation will be held Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 9 - 10:30 am at St. Anthony Church, 32 Lawn Avenue, Pawtucket with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 am. Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.
