Alan was my Uncle. I remember most that every birthday no matter what I would get a card and $100 check. This was HUGE to a kid. He was quiet, but always loving. And he was a great listener. As I got older I didn't see him very often, and we drifted apart but I always remember his cards. The $100 was nice, but the card was saying that he remembered my birthday was what always meant the most.

My sympathy to Allan's family. I used to talk with him while at the Monastery in Cumberland. I would also meet him at the Emerald Mall while doing my walk. He was always upbeat and seemed to enjoy life. May he now rest in peace with the angels.

Although its been years since I'd seen Uncle Allan I have such fond memories of visiting him in RI. He was always so laid back and just seemed to enjoy life. I'm sure he will be deeply missed.
