Annie Roy

LINCOLN - Annie Roy, 95, of Lincoln, RI, passed away August 22, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was the wife to the late Leonard E. Roy.
She was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Joseph & Tekla (Shewchuk) Glowacki.
Annie worked for the former Fogarty Memorial Hospital, she also worked for the Friendly Nursing Home, I. Medoff Co. and Enterprise Dye. She was a member of the Crepeau Court Social Club and St. Josephs Social Club. She was a volunteer for meals on wheels at Crepeau Court where she received the volunteer of the year award. She also enjoyed playing bingo.
She is survived by her children, Roger and Eugene Roy, both of Woonsocket, Jeannine Carroll of Woonsocket, Marie Cobb of The Villages, FL, Suzanne Williams of Pittsburgh, PA, and Lucille Gonsalves of Foster. Also 15 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Mary Bernache of Johnston and Josephine Badeau of Woonsocket.
She was preceded in death by her son, John Roy, a brother, Walter Glowacki and her sister, Sophie Calo.
A Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 10 am in the Egidio DiPardo & Sons Funeral Home, 75 Harris Ave., Woonsocket. Burial in St. Jean the Baptiste Cemetery will be private. Calling hours are prior to the service from 9-10 am.
