Arthur Arruda Obituary
Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Manuel and Gloria (Medeiros) Arruda. Arthur was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, and worked as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service until retiring in 1984. He enjoyed dancing, traveling and tinkering with projects for his family, friends and neighbors. Above all, Arthur was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Besides his beloved wife, he leaves four children, Michael A. Arruda and his wife Ann of Riverside, Carol A. Tundel and her fiancé Kenneth Fleming of Attleboro, John J. Arruda of Riverside, and Paul M. Arruda and his wife, Tammy of Castleton, Vt.; four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late John, Michael and Henry Arruda.
VISITATION will begin on Tuesday at 4 p.m., followed by services at 6:15 p.m. at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. For online condolences visit: TRIPPFUNERALHOME.com
