USS SEVERN (AO-61)

I remember Ski well as we were shipmates on the USS SEVERN (AO-61). He was a HT1 at the time, very dedicated and knowledgeable. He was always willing to help and teach younger, less experienced sailors. I'm so glad he made Chief and lived a long life. My sincere condolences to his family

What a great guy. He served in R Division on the Severn with me. He was very talented (I still have the cruise box he made) and very cooperative. I was glad to see him a reunion and will remember him fondly.

To Art's family, My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Arthur was a great shipmate and I served with him in the 60's on the USS SEVERN AO-61. I was his division officer and he was a very talented and loyal petty officer. Most recently we were reunited at several SEVERN reunions and we had great times remembering our cruises together, fueling operations and keeping the ship safe. He was literaly a "FIRST CLASS" DC1 !
