Barbara Brien Obituary
the wife of Roger Brien. Born in
Central Falls, she was a daughter of the late Leo and Alice (Fournier) Callahan.
Barbara was a bookkeeper at Barmakian Jewelers for 12 years. In her spare time she enjoyed reading.
She is survived by her daughter Ann Marie Fortier of Woonsocket, two sons, Stephen Joseph Brien of Woonsocket, and Bruce Alan Brien of Smithfield, a brother Leo Callahan Jr. of Berwick, ME, a sister Lorraine Chartier of Woonsocket and four grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 9:00 AM from Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph's Church, Mendon, Rd., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery in Cumberland. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to: American Cancer Society, Centralized Memorial Processing Center, 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701-9376.

There is an Irish saying:
"May you live long, die happy, and rate a mansion in heaven"
I know that Auntie Barbara has done all those things... especially after living through all the summer antics us cousins put her through, which she handled with her typical calm, grace and patience then still loved us anyway :-)
My condolences and love to the entire Brien family today and always. I wish I could be there with you all!

Dear Uncle Roger and family, we are so sorry for your loss. auntie Barbara was such a strong and kind woman. I have so many fond memories of our families celebrating holidays together. Your marriage of 63 years is a true testament to her loving and caring soul. May she Rest In Peace. Sending so much love

To the Brien family, I'm so sorry to hear about Auntie Barbara's passing. I always enjoyed her company when we would be together. I do know how much she loved her family. She will be missed by all.
