Bella I. Gariepy

CUMBERLAND - Bella I. Gariepy, 100, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2023, in Fellsmere, FL., at the home of her daughter. She was the wife of the late Leroy H. Gariepy.

Born in Fall River, MA., she was the daughter of the late Emil and Antoinette (Metivier) Dubois. She resided in Fellsmere, FL., for the past 6 years, previously residing in Cumberland for over 65 years and Central Falls for many years.

She enjoyed crocheting, spending time with her family, and donating her time to Animal Rescue Leagues.

Bella was the co-owner of the former Gariepy Garage, Central Falls, and G&G Excavating of Cumberland for over 40 years with her late husband.

She is survived by her two daughters: Patricia R. Greenwood and her husband Linus of Pawtucket; and Lynn A. Grenier and her husband Peter of Fellsmere, FL. along with two grandchildren: Michael Salvas and Laurie Barrette, and two great-grandchildren: Crystal Mitchell and Jodi-Lynn Gail and five great-great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Roger R. Gariepy and sister of the late Lucille Fountaine and Rita Girourd.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Bella's Life Celebration to begin with Visiting Hours on Sunday, April 30, 2023, from 1 PM to 4 PM and continuing with a Prayer Service on Monday May 1, 2023, at 11 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland, RI. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.
