Benjamin Ballou Obituary

CUMBERLAND - Benjamin S. Ballou, Jr., 65, of Cumberland passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. He was the beloved husband of Catherine A. (Hall) Ballou.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Benjamin S. and Flora M. (Fletcher) Ballou, he had lived in Cumberland for most of his life.
Mr. Ballou was a self-employed contractor for many years. He served in the Rhode Island National Guard during the Vietnam War.
Besides his wife, he is survived by loving children, Lori A. Edge and her husband, Walter of Cumberland, Benjamin S. Ballou, III, and Robert S. Ballou and his wife, Jamie, all of Cumberland; two sisters, Flora Gardner of Cumberland and Maggie Hokenson of Tampa, FL; two brothers, Roy Ballou of Chepachet and George Ballou of Cumberland; six loving grandchildren, Hannah Ballou, Dante Buonanni, Hailey Ballou, Cayla Ballou, Elizabeth Edge and Molly Ballou; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late RING MSGT. (Ret.) John B. Ballou, David R. Ballou and Nancy Jones.
His funeral service will be held Saturday, November 21 at 2 P.M. at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln. His burial will be private. Relatives and friends may call Saturday from 12 - 2 P.M. For Directions and Guest Book, please visit
