Cecile Dussault Obituary

LINCOLN - Cecile M. (Pontbriand) Dussault, 88 of Bouvier Avenue, Manville died Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at home embraced in the love of her entire family. She was the most beloved wife of the late Lucien O. Dussault with whom she had been married for 64 years.
Born in Manville, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Arsene and Elise (Vandal) Pontbriand, she had lived in Manville all her life and wintered in Yuma, Arizona.
Mrs. Dussault was a full time homemaker while her children grew, and later, she was a Cook's Helper for the State of Rhode Island Lunch program and retired in 1988. She was a devoted member of St. James Parish in Manville where she taught Religious Education, worked as the Cashier for the Parish Carnival, volunteered for the Annual Charity Fund Appeal, Parish Council and many committees over the years. Cecile loved to travel with her husband and one particularly precious memory for her was visiting the Holy Land.
Mom was an outgoing and generous person for whom family was central. Her greatest lifelong passions were traveling, cooking, spending time with loved ones - especially playing cards each evening - embroidering and reading. She was a woman of deep faith and devotion, and prayed daily.
Cecile is survived by her four children: two daughters, Carmen Dussault and her husband Donald Evernden of Rimbey, Alberta, and Louise Dussault of Manville; two sons, Roger Dussault and his wife, Donna of Las Vegas, NV and Paul Dussault and his wife, Rosalinda of Reno, NV; one sister, Suzanne Pontbriand, who lived in the same building with her for over fifty years; three brothers, Lucien Pontbriand and his wife, Joan, Leo Pontbriand and his wife, Pauline, and Richard Pontbriand and his wife, Jacqueline; one sister-in-law, Sylvia Pontbriand; one brother-in-law, Edward Agena; dear family friend, Fernande Dery of Manville; three grandchildren, Irene, Christian and David; two step-grandchildren, Misty and Jimmy; four great grandchildren, Katherine, Amber, Hunter and Gage; one great great granddaughter, Brooklyn; two godchildren, Renee and Debbie; and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Sr. Doris Pontbriand, SSA and Jean Pontbriand, and the sister-in-law of the late Cecile Agena.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, April 25 at 8:30 A.M. from Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in St. James Church, 33 Division Street, Manville. Her burial will be private.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call Friday 4-7 P.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions in loving memory of Mrs. Dussault to St. James Church Endowment, 33 Division Street, Manville, RI 02838 or to CYO, Diocese of Providence, 1 Cathedral Square, Providence, RI 02903 would be most appreciated. I can remember the fun we had at Fern's sister's birthday party. It was a pleasure knowing and loving you. You taught my son, Christopher in Religious Ed and brought back from the Holy land a rosary for all of your students. Thank you so much for your kindness toward my two Autistic adult children. How much they loved you, Mrs. Dussault. May God hold you in the palms of His hand.
