Celeste M. Potrzeba

CUMBERLAND - Celeste M. (Costa) POTRZEBA, 92, of Cumberland, passed away Friday, April 14, 2017 at the St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield. She was the wife of the late Thaddeus Potrzeba.
Born in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Maria (Chaves) Costa. She was a life-long resident of Cumberland.
Mrs. Potrzeba was employed as an accountant for Professional Platers of Pawtucket and Providence.
Celeste was a communicant of St. Patrick Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading, and painting, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
She leaves her three sons, Eugene J. Potrzeba of Rumford, Thadde Potrzeba and Steven Potrzeba, both of Cumberland; her three daughters, Marianne Potrzeba of Florida, Linda Rivet of Burrillville, and Susan Korsgard of Illinois; her 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Anthony Costa, Mario Costa, George Costa, Magdelene Costa and her twin sister Alzira Bouthilette.
A celebration of her life will be held Tuesday at 9 AM from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Patrick Church, Broad Street, Cumberland. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting Hours will be held Monday from 5-8 PM.
