Charlie and I met when I clerked at Tobin and Silverstein. I truly enjoyed working with Charlie. The last time I saw Charlie he was getting out of his Corvette at Joe´s Barber Shop when it was on Avenue A. Shalom Charlie.

When I started to practice law in Providence, Charley had been at the firm for several years. He was a good friend and gave me social support, not only while we worked at the same firm, but for many years thereafter. He drove me to New York City on several occasions, to shop for hi-fi equipment, and to attend an exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum (his mother was a volunteer and gave us a behind-the-scenes tour). Charlie was an excellent lawyer. He went by many names - Charlie Brown, Friar Tuck - but whatever he was called, he was a good man and a valued friend.
