Christopher E. Gribbin

1966 - 2016

WINTER GARDEN, Fla. - Christopher E. Gribbin, 50, of Winter Garden, Fla., and previously of North Attleboro, Massachusetts and Rhode Island, died unexpectedly on Monday, July 25, 2016, at Dr. Phillips Hospital in Florida. He was the husband of the late Laurie Carvalho for 10 years, together 15 years, and is survived by his cherished son Lucas C. Gribbin.

Born May 13, 1966, in Providence, Chris was the son of Joan (Walsh) Gribbin, of Central Falls, and the late Francis "Hank" Gribbin.
Chris grew up in Central Falls, graduating from Central Falls High School and New England Institute of Technology, and resided several years in North Attleboro before moving to Florida in 2014.

Chris was a master electrician and the founder and owner of his successful company, C.G. Electric.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by five siblings: Daniel F. Gribbin of Lake Mary, Fla., Barbara J. Bachand of Seekonk, Jeffrey R. Gribbin of Burrillville, Colleen A. Gribbin of Cumberland, and Kathleen F. Raposo of Norwood, Mass.; four nieces, five nephews, loving extended family and many good friends.

Chris' devotion to his son Lucas was immeasurable. and Lucas was the joy of his life.

Chris' generosity and willingness to help people will not be forgotten.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 3, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove St., North Attleboro. A funeral service will be held from the funeral home on Thursday, Aug. 4, at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, 103 Pine St., Pawtucket, at 10 a.m. Burial will be private at St. Mary's Cemetery, Attleboro Falls.
