Claire M. Blazon

NORTH SMITHFIELD - Claire M. (Nadeau) Blazon, age 80, died Saturday, March 18, 2017 at St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield. She was the wife of the late Harold W. Blazon of Peabody, MA. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Euclide and Zita (Bourre) Nadeau. She lived in Peabody, MA from 1973-2011.
Mrs. Blazon was a 1954 graduate of the former St. Clare High School in Woonsocket and worked as a secretary for Provoust-Lefebvre & Co in Boston, MA for many years prior to moving to Peabody, MA. She enjoyed snow skiing, traveling and gardening. She was a member of the West Peabody Garden Club. Claire was proud of her French heritage and continued to read in French.
She is survived by her sister, Constance (Nadeau) James of Greensboro, NC; her niece care givers, Donna Manson of Raleigh, NC and Suzanne Nordstrom of North Smithfield. She is also survived by nephews Paul Nadeau of Lincoln and Richard Nadeau of North Smithfield and nieces Michele Carpentier of Woonsocket and Lisa Boyle of Lincoln as well as nine great nieces & nephews and eight great-great nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Edgar Nadeau and sister-in- law of the late Vivian (Joubert) Nadeau.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, March 25 beginning with visitation from 9:30-10:30 am in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 Main St, Woonsocket followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in the chapel at St. Antoine Residence, 10 Rhodes Ave, North Smithfield. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, West Wrentham Rd, Cumberland. The family would like to thank the staff at The Villa and St. Antoine for all their wonderful care.
