Clara L. Belhumeur

NORTH SMITHFIELD - Clara L. (DiSpirito) Belhumeur, 91, of North Smithfield, passed away on January 24, 2019 in St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield. She was the wife of the late Bertrand Belhumeur. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Emilio and Laura (D'Urgolo) DiSpirito.
Clara owned & operated Berts Market, along with her husband, for many years. Family was extremely important to her, she loved to spoil her children and grandchildren and was very close with her brother and sisters. She enjoyed playing BINGO and loved the water and swimming. Clara was a true animal lover.
She is survived by her two daughters, Jane Finch, and her husband Greg Myers of Laguna Niquel, CA, and Nancy Healey of Cumberland; three grandchildren, Candy and Kerry Courtemanche and Kelsey Finch. She was preceded in death by her daughter Karen Courtemanche; her brother Emilio DiSpirito; her two sisters Antonetta Bagley and Angelina DiSpirito.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at 9 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Holy Trinity Parish, (formerly OLQM) 1409 Park Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Farm Street, Blackstone, MA. Calling hours are Monday from 6 - 8PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Burrillville Animal Shelter, the North Smithfield Animal Shelter, Best Friends Animal Society, or an animal charity of your choice.
